Last week, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway unveiled a ‘large’ version of the 2026 ticket design for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500. This year’s ticket features Alex Palou standing on his car after winning the 2025 Indianapolis 500. Featuring last year’s winner on the following year’s ticket is a tradition dating to 1948.

Doug Boles, president of IndyCar and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, was on hand to celebrate the event.”

It was clear Palou was enormously proud to see the design, “I always had to sign the ticket as a driver, and I always wanted to be on the ticket!” A native of Spain, the 28-year-old Palou had his IndyCar Rookie season in 2020 and has driven for Chip Ganassi Racing since 2021. He also raced in the IMSA (International Motor Sports Association) Championship and in 2024, the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

With the race less than 90 days away, ticket sales through the end of February are ahead of last year’s pace by 10%. Grandstand tickets sold out for 2025 and are on pace to sell out this year. The race will be run on Memorial Day Sunday.

  1. Wonder what happens to the giant ticket mockups they have at this event, those would be cool to have in a collection
