For this drive, we are in the off-road performance variant, the TRD Pro.
While they might all look the same at a glance, a significant difference in the interior between trim levels is the 14-inch center-mounted infotainment screen. Entry-level trucks come with an 8-inch screen as standard. In addition, premium models include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Walnut wood interior accents are exclusive to the Texas-proud 1794 edition and top-tier Capstone Toyota Tundra.
Among the array of trim levels, the 2024 Toyota Tundra is available in two body styles with three different cargo-bed lengths. The double cab (extended cab) can be optioned with a 6.5- or 8.1-foot-long trunk bed. In addition, the CrewMax (crew cab) models offer a 5.5- or 6.5-foot-long cargo bed.

Our TRD Pro, however, sports the 473-horsepower hybrid drivetrain. All engines are attached to a 10-speed automatic transmission ensuring smooth and responsive performance across various driving conditions. The Hybrid variant, dubbed the i-Force MAX hides an electric motor in the transmission’s bell housing. Like a spotter helping a bodybuilder, the electric motor supports the engine’s burden by sending additional power through the transmission, powered by a 288-volt sealed Nickel-metal Hydride battery located under the rear passenger seat.
The 2024 Tundra TRD Pro receives a fresh look with cosmetic and package updates. The TRD Off-Road package, now available on the Platinum Grade, introduces a bold aesthetic with black elements and distinctive badging. The Nightshade package, available on the Limited, adds a touch of sophistication to the truck’s appearance. The availability of a factory three-inch lift kit on all models (except TRD Pro) allows for a customized and elevated driving experience.
With a starting price ranging from $41,815 to $64,310, the 2024 Tundra TRD Pro delivers a compelling value proposition in the competitive truck market. The well-equipped SR5 trim, in particular, offers a sweet spot with enhanced features, including a power boost to 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.
