Dodge Charger R/T…America’s 5 Series

I know, I know… BMW guys are going to be foaming at the mouth at the thought that I would compare a Dodge to their holy relic…the 5 Series. But the first time I slid behind the wheel, the 5 Series was the only car that came to mind to compare it to. I was the first to admit that I was surprised and came in with low expectations simply because it was a Dodge.
It’s also not fair to compare the Charger to a Taurus or Impala, because those cars feel like appliances while the Charger is actually really fun to drive. Sure the Ford and the Chevy are fine cars, comfortable, quiet, powerful, but they don’t have the same dynamic as the Charger; they don’t have the cool factor.
After a week of driving the R/T I have to say I am sticking to my first reaction… the R/T is America’s 5 Series.
