The all-new 2025 Mustang GTD is redefining performance, boasting a staggering 815 horsepower, 664 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 202 mph, making it the most powerful street-legal Mustang ever created by Ford.

With cutting-edge features like active aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and an advanced inboard-rear suspension with semi-active dampers, the Mustang GTD is engineered to achieve a sub-seven-minute lap at the Nürburgring.

2025 Mustang GTD Engine

“We’ve been laser focused since day 1 to make Mustang GTD the first-ever supercar with world-class performance and the soul of a Mustang,” said Mustang GTD Chief Program Engineer Greg Goodall. “GTD’s heart is its supercharged 5.2-liter V8, packing more horsepower per liter than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.”

This supercharged V8 engine marks a new chapter in Mustang’s legacy, featuring a dry-sump oil system that maintains lubrication even during intense cornering. The system also raises the engine’s maximum speed to 7,650 rpm, 100 rpm more than previous versions. A revised intake, standard titanium exhaust, and smaller supercharger pulley contribute to the engine’s extraordinary power output.

The Mustang GTD doesn’t just rely on raw power—its Drag Reduction System allows the rear wing’s angle and front-end flaps to adjust dynamically, balancing the need for speed with downforce for grip, adapting to different driving conditions.

“We’ve combined the work of talented engineers and designers, as well as an extremely capable driver, with Mustang GTD technology, power, and aerodynamics,” added Goodall. “We can’t wait to deliver on our sub-7-minute promise to GTD customers.”
