Grand Prix of Baltimore canceled for 2014, 2015

Organizers of the the Grand Prix of Baltimore announced Friday afternoon that there will not be a 2014 and 2015 race due to scheduling conflicts. The Ohio State and Navy football teams will face off at M&T Bank Stadium next Labor Day weekend. in 2015 the American Legion is holding its convention in town, both events conflict with a significant portion of the city track.

“Race On will not be able to participate in hosting the race going forward,” J.P. Grant, a partner in Race On LLC, said. “Everyone involved in this matter has worked diligently and of good faith to make it happen. We explored every possible option.”

Organizers hope to have the race back on track for 2016 or 2017.
