Adventure is often measured in miles, difficult trails, and the number of times someone insists the route looked easier on the map. For Fox Bravo Overland, however, the destination is something far more important: helping veterans, first responders, and service members rediscover purpose, connection, and community.

The Cedar Park, Texas-based nonprofit has been selected as one of five finalists in the Veteran & Civil Servant Outreach category of the 2026 Defender Service Awards. Fox Bravo Overland uses overland expeditions, hands-on training, and peer-supported experiences to bring people together in challenging outdoor environments where teamwork and trust come naturally.

This recognition carries a personal connection for the team at Cam Mobility. Fox Bravo Co-Founder Greg Walton was one of their instructors during the CAM Mobility program, sharing the kind of off-road driving, navigation, and field experience that cannot be learned from a PowerPoint presentation. Ken Cameron and his team also regularly volunteer their time and expertise to support Fox Bravo’s mission. Cameron, a Camel Trophy veteran with more than 30 years of expeditionary driving and training experience, is part of the organization’s technical team.

Fox Bravo Overland is not simply arranging camping trips. Its volunteers are creating structured, mission-oriented experiences where participants can challenge themselves, work as a team, and build lasting relationships with people who understand the demands of service.

What It Means For Fox Bravo Overland

Winning the category would provide Fox Bravo Overland with a customized Defender 130 and $30,000 to expand its work. Each finalist has already received a $5,000 donation from Chase, but the public vote will determine which organization receives the vehicle and additional funding.

Voting is open through August 14, 2026, and supporters may cast one vote per day, per category. Fox Bravo Overland is asking its community to return daily, share the voting information, and help put a capable new vehicle into service supporting future expeditions and programs.

A vote takes only a few seconds. In this case, those few seconds could help an organization already doing the hard work reach more veterans, first responders, and service members.

Click Here to vote for Fox Bravo Overland through its official Defender Service Awards page and return each day through August 14.
