Ondrej Balák graduated from art school in Ostrava, with a focus on Industrial Design. He focused on automotive and motorcycle design and presented his work at several exhibitions. As a result,  he was awarded a scholarship to Istituto Europeo di Design at Torino University and Lawernce Technological University in Detroit where he continued to hone his skills.
