Holy Smokes Batman! The original Batmobile was sold at Auction this last weekend for the incredible sum of 4.2 million dollars. The bidding battle raged on, only being decided by a coin toss by the two top bidders. The Winner, Rick Champagne, who owns a logistics company in Tempe, identified himself as the buyer in an interview with Speed TV immediately after the sale. He told Speed that the car would go in his living room.

We shot these photos at an event last year at LA area speed lifestyle store World Class Motoring that was hosting an event in honor of George Barris.
