The rumours have swelled in the last several days around the fact that Michael Schumacher would sign a contract with Mercedes GP, it has been confirmed at todays press conference. Mercedes GP confirmed that the identity of its second driver would be announced later in the morning. The team had already confirmed Nico Rosberg a few weeks ago. The return of Michael Schumacher would arrive three years after his last race. The desire for Michael Schumacher’s return to Formula 1 had already been felt when the public hoped he would replace his friend and former team-member Felipe Massa, after the Brazilian one has undergoes a violent accident in Hungary. But this return had been fallen through because of recurring problems to his neck from a motorcycle accident.
