The team from Thomas Felice saw some of my golfing photos I reshared from last year’s Formula 1 Charity Golf Tournament and they wanted to send me one of their Golf themed watches. While I wouldn’t say that golf is my game, I do enjoy sharing unique watch brands and Thomas Felice certinely has some pretty unique watches to share.
The watches are arranged in themed collections, Golf, Modern Art, Hockey, Sailing, etc… and apparently, there is actually a guy named Thomas. According to the official Thomas Felice website, he wasn’t really into watches, but “I realized no other watch company was designing the hour and minute hands of watches, So simply put – I said F*ck it, and decided to do it myself.” And thus, a watch brand was born.
The watches themselves are not groundbreaking by any stretch of the imagination, they are, surprisingly well constructed for their price point. The case is finished to a high standard without tooling marks or scratches which is common on many sub-$200 watches, the date complication is a nice touch, and the quick-change strap options are of good quality.
On this model, the 3-Putt, the case stainless steel, 40mm, and just 7mm thick, inside a Miyota quartz movement will provide reliable timekeeping so long as the battery is maintained. The crystal is a scratch-resistant sapphire and the dial is flawless featuring a white background with silver golf club hands and roman numerals. The watch also includes a nice travel case and mine came with a quick release leather watchband for when its time to retire the NATO strap.
Overall I would say that Thomas Felice has produced one of the better fashion watches on the market, as far as quality control and fit and finish. Is it an heirloom watch you will pass down to your children? No, but it is a nice quality watch that for $139.99 you won’t feel bad about wearing? Absolutely.
