TGR Staff  – 07/01/2021
Summer in Texas means it’s time to fire up the grill or smoker and enjoy some classic BBQ, and nothing says BBQ more than baby back ribs. Our friends over 7 Deadly Wines sent over a few bottles of wine and suggested we try pairing it with some classic Rufus Teague’s BBQ sauce flavors. You are going to want to try this yourself.

What you’ll need:

6 pounds pork baby back ribs
4 tablespoons of yellow mustard
1/2 cup of Rufus Teague Meat Rub
1 bottle of Rufus Teague Honey Sweet BBQ Sauce
Smoker
6+ Hours

Instructions:

  • Remove membrane from the back of ribs and using your hand coat both sides of the ribs with mustard. Once evenly covered in mustard, cover both sides with the meat rub.
  • Heat smoker to 230°F and place ribs bone-side down on the rack for three hours.
  • Pull ribs and wrap in aluminum foil and put back smoker for two hours.
  • Pull ribs, remove foil, return to smoker for one more hour.
  • For the last 15 minutes of cook use a large brush to paint ribs with BBQ sauce.
  • Slice ribs, pair with your favorite sides, and red wine.
