Taking care of your beard is something I never really thought much about, men in my family have always had beards, other than learning how to shave when I was a teenager there wasn’t a whole lot of beard education. But as beards have come back into style and as men have started to demand better quality grooming products a new wave of artisan products have made their way to the market, giving men not only more options but new options to explore, including Beard Oil, Beard Balm, and deep cleaning facial soaps.
So when Indie Do Good and Munson & Brothers sent me a package for ‘No Shave November’ that included a number of their products I was excited to try them. If you haven’t used beard oil or balm, it is not a hair gel for your beard, even though it does help with smoothing out some of those wild hairs. Beard oil heals hair and skin damage while moisturizing both, soothes razor bumps and burns, plus it smells pretty amazing too.
Munson and Brothers Beard oil ingredients include Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, and Shea Butter. Beard oils and balms can also be used as a body oil to take the burn out of muscles after a long work out. While the Activated Charcoal Shampoo Bar has been helping me keep clearer skin a struggle since I have been working on our building restoration project, sweat and dirt are cleanse and detoxed from hair and skin thanks to the charcoal which acts like a sponge deep cleaning your pores.

Something I really like about Munson & Brothers is that all their products are handmade in Mississippi by a small team of artisans, you can really see the quality in their packaging and in everything they make. They also sell their products through www.IndieDoGood.com a site that features small makers and craftsmen products where every purchase includes a “do-good” … a 5% donation of the total purchase price to your favorite charity. So not only do you get unique, high-quality products, your purchase gives back to the community at large.
