Exotics Racing Track Day in the Porsche GT3

Last week I had the opportunity to check out the latest fleet at Exotics Racing, and to take a 991 GT3 around their track. Now this might come as a surprise but I have never been behind the wheel of a modern 911, while I know they are in vogue right now, I must admit I am not a fanboy. But I like to give everything a chance…

The first thing to feel in a GT3 is the fact that this car is dangerous, it likes to live on the edge of grip and is not all that forgiving. That being said I was excited to see how well it did on the same track as the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Lp570 that I had driven. It wasn’t even close. Now it was hard to concentrate with the instructor in your ear the whole time but just to give you an idea after I got used to the rear heavy manners of the GT3 I was over 10 seconds faster around the track than the Lamborghini. I have to say that is impressive. If you want to watch my rather unimpressive drive in the 991 GT3 it is below. If you want to see my video driving the Lamborghini CLICK HERE.
