The name Barris is synonymous with custom and since the 1960’s Barris has created some of the most iconic custom cars the world has ever seen. Morgan’s & Phillip’s known for their high-quality retro automotive apparel has joined forces with Barris Kustom City to recreate classic Barris tees, hats, and accessories. Available early 2011 Barris/M&P line will give Barris fans and collectors around the world access to designs that have been long discontinued.
In 1961 George opened Barris Kustom City, a huge facility capable of any sort of auto-building and service. His association with the Ford Custom Car Caravan put enormous pressure on the shop. Within two years he had 25 full-time employees working for him, including body guys, painters, sanders, metal shapers, mechanics, upholsterers, fiberglass workers, and general handymen.
