Ron Windel’s first car was a 1962 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. it was the car he drove when he met his wife and the car that started his love of Convertibles. Ron married Carol after they fell in love in that Impala. But right after they got married, Ron was drafted, to fight in Vietnam. During his tour, he was shot and wounded, returning home with a Purple Heart to discover his family had sold his Impala as they needed something more practical for the family.
