Rally Historico Adds Arrive and Drive Experience

The Rally Historico Transpeninsular (RHT) has to be one of the most exciting automotive events that almost anyone can experience, and this year the organizers have added a new Arrive and Drive Experience. In addition to the race, touring, and motorcycle classes, adventures minded travelers can book a Mercedes-Benz C 250, BMW 3 Series, or VW Passat Sedan and take part in touring class, then fly home from Cabo San Lucas.

The race now in its third year attracts racers from across the US and Mexico to take part in Baja California’s only tarmac rally that challenges drivers and cars against 1000 miles of public roads. The Racing classes face time-speed-distance and unrestricted speed sections, and the touring class follows behind the race classes, taking in the scenery while enjoying a spirited drive along the race route.

The race is taking place in June 21st-24th, 2018 and there are still limited spaces available in both the racing and touring classes. With prices starting as low as $1,250 including hotels, food, and awards. I took part in the race in 2015 and made a video about the experience you can watch that here.

The new arrive and drive program costs $3,000 USD with a BMW 3 Series or a Mercedes C 250, or $2,500 with a VW Passat, price includes driver/co-driver not including airfare.
