TAG Heuer has released its latest collaboration with the iconic sports car brand Porsche, with the TAG Heuer x Porsche Carrera Chronograph Special Edition. The watch is offered with a steel bracelet or a leather strap, the latter featuring “Porsche Inspired” contrast stitching. The automatic chronograph is the first watch collaboration between the two brands, which have been tangentially connected for years thanks to the film Le Mans where Steve McQueen plays a Porsche racing driver who wears a Heuer Monaco, plus the fact that both the TAG Heuer Carrera and Porsche Carrera are both named after the legendary Mexican road race the Carrera Panamericana.

The partnership between Porsche and TAG Heuer goes beyond just a special edition watch, TAG Heuer has also entered a long term partnership with the Porsche GT Team World Endurance Championship, the Porsche Carrera Cup, the Porsche Classic, and the Porsche Esports Supercup.

The watch features a 44mm case in polished steel with a black ceramic bezel that features the Porsche logo in red at 1 o’clock. The dial has a grey textured surface inspired by the asphalt of racetracks and roads. The crown also features a red stripe and the inset dials also have red-tipped hands. Inside the movement is a Heuer 02 automatic chronograph with an 80-hour power reserve, which can be observed through the clear case back.

Pricing with the leather strap is $5,850 the steel bracelet version comes in at $6,050.
