Baton Rouge man goes on GTA style spree

An Auburn University lacrosse player is accused of going on a  “Grand Theft Auto” inspired crime spree in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Zachary Burgess was arrested Sunday morning after cops say he stole a parked and running truck with a passenger inside, and began to drive in an “erratic and dangerous” fashion.

to play the video game Grand Theft Auto.”

In total nine vehicles were struck while Burgess was allegedly behind the wheel of the stolen vehicle. When questioned the Burgess reportedly told them he “wanted to see what it was really like to play the video game Grand Theft Auto.” He faces charges including auto theft, kidnapping and hit-and-run.
