Bisi at Bisimoto has always done things differently, and while it might be hard to imagine a 356 Speedser without the sound of an air-cooled engine clattering at full RPM, there is something to be said for experiencing the open road and world around you without the sound of an engine. We captured these images of the electrified Bisimoto 356 Speedster on our last trip to California, you have seen it @electrify_showoff and other shows parked next to some of Bisi's other wild electric creations.

More from our series of historic racing photos. In the early 1970s, Bulova expanded its involvement in motorsports by sponsoring the Formula Ford series at Mosport Park in Canada. From 1972 to 1976, the Bulova Formula Ford Championship became a prominent event at Mosport, attracting emerging drivers and contributing to the development of grassroots racing in the region. The series featured multiple races at Mosport, with drivers competing in Formula Ford vehicles—single-seater, open-wheel cars with an accompanying sedan series which pitted automotive legends like the BMW 2002, Datsun 510, and Fiat 124 against each other.

These photos were captured by Brian Wadell in 1972 at Mosport Park.

I was walking through the pits at The Thermal Club when I stumbled upon this amazing Ferrari 512 BB. It is a piece of automotive history, not just another vintage race car. This car was part of Luigi Chinetti's North American Racing Team (NART). This Ferrari 512 BB debuted at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1975 before earning a sixth-place finish at the 12 Hours of Sebring two months later. NART continued to use the car until 1978, when Ferrari stepped in to make the car more competitive.

The vehicle's versatility was demonstrated through various notable expeditions, including traversing American continents through the Darién Gap in the early 1970s. It also excelled in motorsport, winning the four-wheel-drive class in the inaugural Paris-Dakar Rally in 1979 and again in 1981.e and was powered by a lightweight 3.5-liter V8 engine. This all-aluminum engine provided ample power while keeping the vehicle's weight manageable.

Initially available as a two-door model, the Range Rover Classic was designed for practicality, with lightweight aluminum body panels and a utilitarian interior featuring vinyl seats and a hose-down floor. Despite its rugged design, it offered a relatively comfortable ride, thanks to long-travel coil-spring suspension and a permanent four-wheel-drive system.

The Range Rover classic was very different than today's Rovers; it traversed both American continents through the Darién Gap in the early 1970s. It also excelled in motorsport, winning the four-wheel-drive class in the inaugural Paris-Dakar Rally in 1979 and again in 1981.

In 1981, a four-door version was introduced, broadening the Range Rover's appeal to families and urban users. This shift marked its transition from a utilitarian vehicle to a symbol of luxury. The Range Rover Classic evolved through the 1980s and 1990s with upgrades like automatic transmissions, refined interiors with leather trim, and advanced features like anti-lock brakes and electronic traction control.

Production of the Range Rover Classic continued until 1996, even after the introduction of its successor, the P38A model, in 1994. It is still popular today due to its timeless design and capability.

There’s a certain magic to experiencing winter on Route 66. America’s “Mother Road,” stretching from Chicago to Santa Monica, symbolizes freedom and adventure. While many opt to explore this iconic route during the bustling summer months, winter offers a quieter, more contemplative experience and some unique photography oppertunties.

Over the last few years, I set out to capture Route 66’s lesser-seen side during the winter season. Armed with my camera gear and a sense of wanderlust, I discovered a landscape transformed by cold air, subdued colors, and the occasional dusting of snow. This is Winter on Route 66 at its most serene and, perhaps, its most authentic.
