Stefano Notarfiacomo’s workshop in the heart of Rome is dedicated to creating unique works of automotive art, reinventing parts from classic cars, scooters, and motorcycles his work showcases the industrial beauty of old-world engineering. Parts may have started life as a glovebox, a valve cover, or a carburetor, find new purpose as desktop boxes, lamps, or coffee tables.

The point is not that the piece came from a noble car or motorcycle, the key point is that every single work came from a mechanical part and on that part, I molded its shape. I find the pieces in specialized markets and online. The collectors themselves often provide me with spare parts as they are curious to see which creation can come out of a pedal, carburetor, or rearview mirror.

Most of the parts are from iconic brands like Ferrari, Maserati, or Vespa, each piece retains its natural patina and signs of age, but it is often paired with an ultra-modern and very clean element to create a stunning juxtaposition between old and new. Stefano’s works are on display in the Galleria Spazio 40 in Rome and in the studio of EPM interiors, his work has been featuring in international magazines in the automotive and interior design sector in Italy, France, England, Korea, Spain, and Russia.
