Nagoya, Japan-based kit car manufacturers Suzusho will be bringing their latest model to the Tokyo Motor Show. Called the Surpasse V, the Lotus look-a-like is a mid-engine sports car light enough to move quickly.

And move quickly it shall, thanks to the 2.3-liter DOHC Turbo engine from the Mazda3 MPS. The engine delivers 270 horsepower to the 850-kilogram car, resulting in a 3.1 kg per horsepower ratio. This is an impressive figure, especially considering that the car weighs 500 kilos less than the Mazda3 MPS itself.

The Suzosho Surpasse V will be introduced next week in Tokyo. The car should go on sale sometime in the middle of 2010.
