ProTek Watches has established a reputation for crafting timepieces that seamlessly blend rugged durability with precision engineering. Their latest offering, the USMC Titanium Field Watch Series 3100, exemplifies this commitment, presenting a watch that not only meets the rigorous demands of the United States Marine Corps but also appeals to adventurers and watch enthusiasts alike.

USMC Titanium Field Watch Design and Build Quality

At the heart of the USMC Titanium Field Watch Series 3100 is its medical-grade titanium case, weighing a mere 48 grams. This choice of material ensures the watch is both exceptionally lightweight and robust, capable of withstanding the harshest environments without compromising on comfort. The clean and uncluttered dial design emphasizes legibility, featuring bold hour markers and hands that stand out against the background. This minimalist approach enhances readability and lends the watch a timeless aesthetic suitable for various occasions.

Illumination and Visibility

A standout feature of the Series 3100 is ProTek’s proprietary ProGlo™ illumination system. Unlike traditional luminescent coatings that require external light sources to charge, ProGlo™ utilizes tritium tubes to provide continuous illumination for up to 25 years. This ensures that the watch remains visible in all lighting conditions, from bright daylight to complete darkness. The hands and hour markers are equipped with green tritium lume, while an orange lume at the 12 o’clock position offers quick orientation—a crucial feature for tactical operations and nighttime navigation.

USMC Titanium Field Watch Specificatioins

Powering the Series 3100 is a reliable Japanese Miyota quartz movement, renowned for its accuracy and dependability. This movement offers a battery life of approximately four years, reducing the need for frequent maintenance. The inclusion of a screw-in titanium case back and push crown contributes to the watch’s 100-meter water resistance, making it suitable for swimming and snorkeling, though not recommended for diving.

The watch comes fitted with a waterproof Italian leather strap that is both durable and comfortable. Designed to be supple from the outset, the strap molds to the wearer’s wrist over time without becoming brittle. This ensures long-term comfort, whether the watch is worn during strenuous activities or daily routines.

Official Watch of the USMC

ProTek’s dedication to quality has earned the Series 3100 the designation of an Official Watch of the United States Marine Corps—a testament to its performance and reliability. The watch was launched via a Kickstarter campaign, offering early-bird pricing starting at $295, with a regular retail price slated between $550 and $575.
