The Ghost Squadron Tour 2025 roared through Portugal this April, transforming the sun-drenched roads between Lisbon and Évora into a playground for some of the world’s most exclusive hypercars. With 27 elite vehicles participating, the rally was a spectacle of speed, design, and engineering prowess. The Gentleman Racer photographer Quentin Martinez was along for the ride.

Koenigsegg hosts the Ghost Squadron Tour, which is an exclusive event that sells out quickly every year. Among the standout vehicles was the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack in a striking Viola SE30 finish, paying homage to Lamborghini’s iconic SE30 hue. This particular Jesko, known for its 1,600 horsepower and advanced aerodynamics, captivated enthusiasts and photographers alike. Another highlight was the Medusa, a unique hypercar hailing from Singapore, showcasing the global appeal and reach of the event. These machines, alongside other Koenigsegg models like the Agera and Regera, underscored the event’s status as a gathering of automotive masterpieces.

The Route and Conditions

Spanning the picturesque landscapes between Lisbon and Évora, the rally offered participants a blend of scenic beauty and driving challenges. The Portuguese weather cooperated, delivering sunny and humid conditions with warm temperatures, adding to the Mediterranean charm of the journey. The sound of this many Koenigsegg vehicles in one place was overwhelming. It is a rare sight to see one Koenigsegg, but a parade of them is something that is truly special to experience.

Grand Finale at Estoril Circuit

The culmination of the tour was a high-octane session at the renowned Estoril Circuit. Here, drivers unleashed their vehicles’ full potential on the track, providing a fitting climax to the rally. The sight of these hypercars navigating the circuit’s curves and straights was a testament to their engineering and the skill of their drivers.

While we didn’t get to pilot a Koenigsegg on this trip, being invited along to capture it was the experience of a lifetime and one Quentin is not soon to forget.

  1. How nice it must be to be so rich you can just drive your supercar across Europe after shipping it from Singapore for the week. Yet there are starving people around the world.

  2. Thanks for capturing this, there are some great photos of my car. I will send a DM to see about having you send me some.

  3. I am going to do a similar trip, but it is in my old Peugeot 205 GTI. I am also guessing my hotels will not be as glamorous.

  4. Great article about the Ghost Squadron Tour! I’m curious, are there chances for regular people to attend as spectators or is it a closed event? Also, does Portugal have any upcoming similar car events soon? Thanks for sharing!

    • We reached out to them to get approval to shoot it, but Portugal has become a popular destination for brands in Europe to do tours. I am not as plugged in to the local car scene, but it is a beautiful country to tour.

  5. Really cool post! The route between Lisbon and Évora looks amazing for a hypercar rally. Do you know if this tour happens every year, and if regular people can watch parts of it? Thanks for sharing!
