His personal collection includes a pristine 1982 Porsche 911 SC in Chiffon White, a 2015 Porsche Targa, and a classic 1971 orange Vespa Rally which he has named Herman—a local icon and the gallery’s unofficial mascot. These vehicles are displayed alongside a curated selection of art, offering visitors an experience that merges motion and creativity.
The gallery’s unconventional layout, which includes two large bays and a transformed “paint room,” allows visitors to explore both the art and the cars in a seamless flow. “Art people love the lines and sense of motion in the cars, while car enthusiasts often find themselves drawn to the art,” Hattem notes. “It’s a mutually enriching experience.”
