We have been slow to warm to most electric cars, but our recent spin in the Mercedes-Benz EQB250+ got us thinking that we could really use one in the fleet. We took the EQB+ out for a day of wine tasting and exploring Washington County Texas and made it home without the range anxiety we have experienced in some of our other EV rides. Plus it is a Mercedes-Benz so the interior and technology are second to none.

Once in a while, a truly seamless transition to an electric lifestyle comes along, and the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB+ is that electric vehicle (EV) you’ve been waiting for. Here are five reasons why the EQB+ deserves a spot in your garage:

Effortless Transition

For those hesitant about making the leap to an electric vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz EQB+ makes the transition nearly effortless. Sharing its roots with the GLB-class SUV, the EQB+ maintains a familiar design, minimizing the learning curve for uninitiated drivers. The cabin’s spaciousness and practicality echo its gas-powered counterpart, ensuring comfort and ease of use.

Diverse Range Options

Mercedes-Benz offers a variety of models within the EQB lineup, catering to different preferences. The entry-level EQB250+ delivers a longer 250-mile driving range, making it an ideal choice for those seeking extended journeys without frequent charging stops. Meanwhile, the EQB300 strikes an excellent balance with 225 horsepower and up to 242 miles of range per charge.

Performance and Luxury in One

Opting for the EQB+ means not compromising on performance or luxury. The EQB350, equipped with a dual-motor setup producing 288 horsepower, provides a swift and exhilarating driving experience. For an added touch of luxury, the Pinnacle trim level enhances the EQB+ experience with a panoramic sunroof and a high-end Burmester stereo system.

Efficient Charging

The EQB+ incorporates a 66.5-kWh battery, offering flexibility in charging options. Whether at home with a Level 2 connection or at a DC fast-charging station, the EQB+ can go from 10 to 80 percent charge in just 30 minutes. This efficient charging capability ensures you spend more time on the road and less time waiting at charging stations.

Stylish and Comfortable Interior

Step inside the EQB+, and you’ll find a cabin that seamlessly blends style with comfort. The five-seat configuration, with an optional pop-up third row, accommodates passengers with ease. The rose gold interior accents, combined with the MBUX infotainment system, create a visually appealing and technologically advanced environment.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB+ is not just an electric vehicle; it’s a lifestyle choice that does most of what people need to do, we would consider one as part of our two car garage.
