Drag racing is on the cusp of a thrilling electric transformation, as Bisi Ezerioha, known by most as Bisimoto, is making a return to the drag strip. His weapon of choice for this electrifying endeavor is a 2022 Tesla Model S Plaid, and his mission is nothing short of dominance. To make this happen, Bisimoto has joined forces with Unplugged Performance, the trailblazers in Tesla modification, to extract every ounce of performance from his electric powerhouse.
Their collaboration starts with a set of Unplugged Performance-supplied staggered 20″ UP-03 lightweight forged wheels. These wheels are matched with 305-wide Toyo R888R tires in the rear and 275-wide tires in the front. To fine-tune the alignment for maximum traction and minimal drag, Unplugged Performance has provided billet adjustable rear camber and toe arms. They’ve also equipped the Tesla Model S Plaid with a tow hitch kit and a purpose-designed parachute mount. The latter is mandated by the NHRA and IHRA for vehicles crossing the 150 mph threshold in the quarter mile – a speed the Model S Plaid effortlessly achieves.
This partnership between Bisimoto and Unplugged Performance is just the beginning of an exciting journey. The duo intends to collaborate on product development aimed at further elevating the drag racing capabilities of the Model S Plaid. Bisimoto has earned a strong reputation in the world of electric performance with his popular electric builds that have been shown at the SEMA show, this paired with his history in drag racing should prove to be a winning formula.
