Team Stradale has secured the rights to import the classic Mini Cooper as reimagined by Z Car a UK tuning firm that builds a 300hp mid-engine version of the giant-killing icon. Serious engineering has been put into the development of these Mini Coopers. Outboard suspension, increased engine output, Quaife LSD transmission internals, and integrated safety equipment are part of just a few improvements that put these Minis above the rest. Beyond that, Z Cars are made to be easy to live with. Company boss David Rose knows who will be a buyer in the North American market, specifically automotive country club members. “There’s a keen focus on user-friendliness… with the idea that owning a radically modified machine shouldn’t bring with it compromises or complexities of ownership,” he notes. Air conditioning? Cruise control? These options and more are available for your mid-engine Mini.
