Yevgeny Bondarenko, a car guy from Temirtau, Kazakhstan known online by the handle JBKAnal amassed a substantial online following documenting the custom build of his replica Batmobile based on Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy’s Tumbler. While his internet notoriety may be connected to this fairly accurate replica, Yevgeny has decided it is time to sell the car last year, originally listing it on a Kazakhstani classifieds platform, Kolesa.kz, for $1 million dollars.

With no takers in Kazakhstan, the car was recently listed on eBayMotors by Exotic Car Trader for $599,999, plus a $250 pre-delivery service charge, of course. The non-street legal car is powered by a Toyota V8 and rides on a custom-made tube chassis. The mid-rear engine mounts transmission forward and sends power to a transfer case which then connects to a traditional live axle set up in the rear. Videos on his Instagram account show that the vehicle does run and drive.

“I’m a fan of the dark knight saga by Christopher Nolan. The Batmobile is the best of all vehicles. Three years ago I got the idea to design it,” Bondarenko told a local reporter. Going back through his social media posts the project started out as a sketch on the floor of his garage in June of 2018 and the chassis build photos are pretty impressive. By November he was fitting the drivetrain. It would take him until June 2020 to start creating the fiberglass bodywork, not a bad timeline for a custom build of this scale.

Considering he built the car in a shop himself, it is pretty impressive, but it might be hard to find a buyer who wants to spend $600,000 to buy a non-street legal car that they have to import to the USA. If you want to check out more photos and the full listing head over to eBayMotors.
