Images of Ferrari’s first SUV, the Purosangue, were leaked online by Instagram user cochespias and have been widely circulated on the internet giving us our first real look at the super-SUV. It is really hard to get a real idea of the proportions based on a few quick cell phone photos, but it suffers from the same design dilemma of trying to transfer sportscar language into a crossover/SUV, much like the Aston Martin DBX, it isn’t offensive, it just isn’t all that pretty.
Regardless if it is conventionally beautiful or not, like all previous sportscar manufacturers that have introduced SUVs the Purosangue will likely be Ferrari’s top-selling vehicle almost immediately. We don’t know what the powertrain will be, but the long hood could hide any combination of a V6-V12 or Hybrid powertrain, we will learn more once Ferrari officially unveils the vehicle as a 2023 model.
