2022 Daytona 500: Start time, Weather, and Where to Watch

TGR Staff - 02/19/2022

NASCAR officially kicks off the 2022 Cup Series on Fox Sunday afternoon with the 64th annual Daytona 500, the biggest race of the year.

Fans and media are watching to see how NASCAR’s new Next-Gen car will perform on the tri-oval since their short track debut earlier this month at the Busch Light Clash at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Fans will get new views of the action from the Nex-Gen car thanks to the new bumper and spoiler cams that were integrated into the new machines.

Reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion, Kyle Larson, has the pole position. He is joined by veteran driver Greg Biffle, who is making his return to the Cup Series after departing in 2016. The 52-year-old racer was recruited by new Cup team, New York Racing. Mike Joy will be announcing his 43rd Daytona 500 and will be joined by retired NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer in the booth.
