The SEMA show is back in person after a less than exciting attempt at a virtual SEMA in 2020, the show was leaner than previous years, but with shows like SEMA you just have to be there in person. There was an abundance of Broncos on display, a wide selection of exotics, and nearly half of one hall was dedicated exclusively to Chip Foose vehicles.
Trucks and SUVs dominated this year, one of the most prevalent trends by far is Overlanding, you almost couldn’t go down an aisle without seeing a rooftop tent. Even the OEM manufacturers are embracing the Overlanding and camping segment with Toyota, Ford, GM, and Jeep all integrating some form of Overlanding into their display.
Exotics were of course still represented, but it did seem that there was a major decrease in the restoration, hot rod, and sports car segments at the show. With fewer manufacturers offering cars, the shift to SUVs and trucks is defiantly reflected in the kinds of vehicles that were on display this year.

At first glance, Kate Cook’s artwork might seem like a paradox—a seamless blend of classic oil painting techniques with the high-octane world of automotive enamels. Her signature approach, which she calls "Artemotiv," merges the meticulous craftsmanship of fine art with the raw energy of hot rods and muscle cars. But spend a few minutes with Cook, and the paradox resolves itself into something more profound: an artist who has not only found her lane but paved it herself.
