Top 5 Sites To See While Visiting Cincinnati

Have you been eagerly awaiting to plan a vacation or trip away? If so, you are not alone. Everyone has been waiting for the light at the end of the Covid-19 tunnel and it has finally shown up. With airports and destinations re-opening their doors, you can finally get something booked in for a much-deserved breakaway. 

You might have a bucket list of things you want to see and do before a certain time in your life. Cincinnati may be on that list, it is a beautiful city in Ohio with lots of days out and activities to keep you busy. Whether you are traveling on your own or with the family there is something for everyone.


Carew Tower

One of the very first things you should do when you arrive in Cincinnati is taking a trip to the second-tallest skyscraper where you can enjoy amazing views. The tallest skyscraper is the Great American Tower, this is offices so you can’t go to the top but you will be able to see it from Carew Tower. Carew tower is wonderful and you get breathtaking views across the city. Don’t forget to take your camera and make your social media followers well and truly jealous. 

Kings Island Theme Park

If you are a huge fan of roller coasters then Cincinnati has you covered. There are a total of 15 roller coasters at Kings Island, one of them being an old timber one. If you are traveling with young children there is also a little area for them if they are too little for the bigger rides. If water parks are more your cup of tea then don’t fear there is one of those as well. So you have a complete day out in one place. You could do half the day at the theme park and the other half at the water park if you wanted to. 

Escape Rooms

If you are looking for a little adventure one day or if you need an indoor activity then consider doing one of the escape rooms. Cincinnati has a great escape room with five different rooms to choose from with varying levels of difficulty. Will you escape or will you be locked in, why not find out? Escape rooms are great for families or groups of friends as they require teamwork to complete. 

Cincinnati Zoo 

For the animal lovers among you, Cincinnati is home to a wonderful zoo and botanic gardens. This zoo is among the oldest in the United States and opened way back in 1875. The oldest zoo happens to be the famous Central Park Zoo. Cincinnati zoo has over 1500 different animals to see with 500+ species. You will have a great day spotting all the animals. 

Newport Aquarium 

Finally, while not actually in Cincinnati, Newport Aquarium is easily accessible and a quick trip over the river. Here you can spend a few hours walking around taking in the 20,000 animals and 100 different species of marine life. The aquarium is home to animals such as penguins, sharks, and even rare white crocodiles.
