Men of color have been underserved by the grooming industry for far too long and entrepreneur Abdul Golden Grooming Co. hopes to change that. In 2017, Abdul was unable to find natural grooming products that met his needs and offered the level of quality that he desired, he decided to launch Golden Grooming Co. a company dedicated to offering men of color a better choice in body care products.
The line includes a beard balm, a body balm/lotion, and a three-in-one beard, hair, and body wash, each developed in consideration of the scents, textures, and features (like added moisturizers) that Abdul knew his customers wanted. Unlike many start-up grooming brands that simply private label existing products, Golden Grooming Co. products are made from scratch in the Motorcity, using only the best ingredients. Plus with every purchase, 5% of the sale is donated to support Historically Black Colleges and Universities and entrepreneurship programs for young people.
