Renee Brinkerhoff and her team at Valkyrie Racing will have to wait 12 more months to launch their expedition to be the first team in the world to drive a Porsche 356, 356 miles across the ice of Antarctica. The trip will be the final journey in a goal to drive 20,000 miles on all seven continents in her vintage Porsche, which is now expected to depart in early December 2021.

We’ve been pushing since 2017 to conquer all seven continents, but the real goal is to use our racing to amplify our voice for human trafficking and find a means to help as many victims as we can – through rescue efforts and separately, providing support through education and funding to aid global shelters.

The global rally is more than just the adventure of a lifetime, the fundraising arm, Valkyrie Gives, is a Colorado-based non-profit foundation that has already raised more than $250,000 to help end human trafficking. Renee and her daughter Christina, who manages the foundation’s operations with organizations in remote areas of China, Mongolia, Peru, and Kenya. Valkyrie Gives contributes 100 percent of all dollars raised to the cause.

The adventures have included taking on the La Carrera Panamericana, Peking-to-Paris, and the East African Safari Classic Rally. But the ultimate challenge lies ahead, when Renee and legendary expeditioner and polar explorer Jason de Carteret, will attempt to drive the modified Porsche 356-miles across the ice and attempt to set a land-speed record on the frozen continent.

At first glance, Kate Cook’s artwork might seem like a paradox—a seamless blend of classic oil painting techniques with the high-octane world of automotive enamels. Her signature approach, which she calls "Artemotiv," merges the meticulous craftsmanship of fine art with the raw energy of hot rods and muscle cars. But spend a few minutes with Cook, and the paradox resolves itself into something more profound: an artist who has not only found her lane but paved it herself.
