HODINKEE Now Offers Watch Insurance

TGR Staff -09/23/2020

HODINKEE, known as one of the most important players in the world of watches, has announced their latest venture the HODINKEE Insurance Agency, which will offer watch collectors to insure their timepieces with Chubb the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance company.

HODINKEE worked with Chubb to make the process as easy as possible by eliminating the need , in most cases, for independent appraisals, original sales receipts, or dealing with an agent to obtain a quote and policy. Owners can simply use the HODINKEE app or website to obtain insurance with just a few simple steps and uploading a photo of the watch. Customers can then pay the total up front or split the cost into two payments. HODINKEE Insurance has no deductible and includes “inflation protection” coverage meaning that a customer is covered up to 150% of the watch value up to the policy limit, if the watch appreciates in value.

Users can then manage their entire policy via the app or website, allowing them to add or remove a watch from the policy, download their digital paperwork, and file a claim if needed. Available to U.S. residents in all 50 states with insurance underwritten by Chubb, HODINKEE Insurance offers worldwide coverage, providing peace of mind no matter where customers find themselves.
