Classic Convertible Collection Up For Auction in Minnesota

Ron Windel’s first car was a 1962 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. it was the car he drove when he met his wife and the car that started his love of Convertibles. Ron married Carol after they fell in love in that Impala. But right after they got married, Ron was drafted, to fight in Vietnam. During his tour, he was shot and wounded, returning home with a Purple Heart to discover his family had sold his Impala as they needed something more practical for the family.

Settling back into civilian life in New York Mills, Minnesota Ron built an incredible life for himself and his family, he also set an ambitious goal, to own one over Chevrolet Belair and Impala convertible produced. Along the way, he picked up other convertibles from Ford, Pontiac, and other collector cars and trucks like a Dodge Charger RT

After over 50 years of collecting, Ron and Carol have decided to sell of their amazing collection at private auction at their home on September, 19th, 2020. Hosted by VanDerBrink Auctions who will sell the collection onsite and via online bidding.
