Wahl has been a staple of men's grooming for decades, having owned Wahl clippers for over 20 years I knew that the new Comfort Grip Pro clipper set they sent over would be high quality and well made, and it didn't disappoint. If you need a clipper or trimmer Wahl is the go-to brand and so far I have yet to test a consumer-grade trimmer or clipper that has the longevity and quality of Wahl.
But while the updated Wahl clippers were great, I was most excited to check out their new line of men's grooming supplies which include beard wash, shampoo, beard oils, and more. Included in the package was the "beard bundle" a collection of products that includes Wahl Beard Wash, Beard Softern, and Beard Oil that retail for $40. The biggest surprise was that all of Wahl's new grooming products are made in the USA.
Wahl has gone upmarket, competing against brands like American Crew and Kehl's while not going for the upper reaches of the market like Aveda or RIo Men. So expect pricing to be well above big box store staples like Suave Men or Old Spice but below salon brands. The quality of the Wahl products is where the value really shines through, not only does the line have a nice fragrance, but you can feel how well the product works as you apply it. After using it for a week I have been impressed with the beard products like the beard softener which also moisturizes your face and neck.
Currently, it appears that you can only buy Wahl's new line of products online and perhaps at select Bed Bath and Beyond locations. You can check out the full lineup at Wahlusa.com.
