Chassis 207 was first raced in the final round of the 1985 World Rally Championship in the iconic Martini livery. Campaigned by WRC legends Markku Alén and Ilkka Kivimäk finishing 2nd overall at the Lombard RAC Rally. In 1986 the car was entered in Group B to vie for the European Rally Championship. For 1986 the car would be campaigned by the Jolly Club and entered its first race at the Ypres 24 Hour Rally in Belgium driven by Fabrizio Tabaton and Luciano Tedeschini, sadly the car would not finish the race due to a crash.

Its next race would be the infamous Halkidiki Rally in Greece, campaigned by Scuderia Griffone in their signature Esso Black-Gold livery. Tabaton and Tedeschini would have better luck and finish 1st overall, taking home chassis 207’s first victory. The car would see battle once more with Scurderia Griffone at the Rallye d’Antibes in France where unfortunately a mechanical issue would end its race early.

Cassis 207 would see more racing throughout the 87-88 seasons driven by Gian Battista Rosella in the European Autocross Championship before being retired from official competition.
