I was attending the Formula 1 race in Austin, Texas when a friend and I were told we needed to check out the McLaren P1 GTR in the parking lot. We guessed that is was likely another McLaren mistaken for the ultra-rare P1. But what we found was a plated and street legal P1 GTR parked in the reserved general parking area.

But this isn’t just any McLaren P1 GTR it is VIN# 01, the first McLaren P1 GTR, the first street-legal P1 GTR to be driven on the street, and one of just 53 produced. The 986 horsepower GTR can reach 0-60 in just 2.4 seconds and has a top speed of 225 mph.

The car is currently listed for sale on the DuPont Registry for $4.5 million, see the listing HERE.
