Since 1906, Gerstner & Son’s has been handcrafting some of the most beautiful tool chests, travel bars, and sportsman’s chests on the market. I first discovered Gerstner & Son’s at the National Hardware Show before realizing that many of the machinists at my Grandfather’s shop had used them for their tools for decades.

One of the products that stood out was the shooting chests, specifically the 1900 Shooters’ Companion, which is not only beautiful to look at but functional and the perfect range day box—offered in Natural Walnut, Golden Oak, American Cherry, or Dark Walnut. Inside, the fully integrated folding skeletonized gun forks are perfect for safely holding your rifle or shotgun at the range. The trays and moveable storage dividers allow you to carry all of your range accessories, safety gear, and ammunition. Plus, the Natural Walnut matched my Henry Single Shot perfectly.

The case is portable and lightweight yet still offers the legendary heirloom, made in the USA quality that Gerstner & Sons is known for. Currently, the 1900 Shooters’ chest is on sale for $416.50.
