Odds are you have never heard of the Bowlus Road Chief, the first Riveted aluminum camping trailer designed by Hawley Bowlus, who had earlier overseen construction of Charles Lindbergh’s aircraft, the Spirit of St. Louis. His design was so successful that it led to many imitations, but none ever really matched the simple beauty of the original Road Chief.

Now 85 years later Bowlus has released the new Endless Highways edition which blends the classic style of the original Bowlus with modern technology like its integrate a lithium-iron-phosphate battery system, which allows for a full off-grid living for up to a week on a single charge. Built-in WiFi keeps you connected out on the road and the included solar panels supplement the battery for campsites without hookups.

“The Endless Highways offers the best-of-the-best in adventure land travel,” says Bowlus Road Chief CEO Geneva Long. “It is the most refined travel trailer ever created, perfect for travelers who crave it all: advanced technology and the utmost in luxurious amenities, all packaged in our signature Streamline Moderne design. We have created the ultimate land travel experience by fusing technology, design, craftsmanship, and luxury. The Endless Highways also features a high-tech battery management system for best-in-class off-grid capability. Our design places adventurers at the core of every decision.”

The lightweight aerospace aluminum frame and aircraft-riveted shell make the Bowlus Road Chief incredibly easy to tow. At a base weight of only 3,300 pounds, the Endless Highways can easily be towed behind crossover SUVs and electric SUVs, such as the Tesla X.

Inside the Endless Highways adds more space than the classic On The Road Model, and luxury features like a two-burner Italian cooktop and stainless-steel countertop. Teak wood floors and seating in the stand-alone shower, and en-suite sink, vanity, and medicine cabinet. The wall as are lined in real-wood that complements the two interior design themes available that are inspired by the American Southwest. The custom mattresses are finished with luxurious linen sheets and duvets, and for additional travelers, the sofa and armchairs convert to third and fourth sleeping berths.

Pricing for the Endless Highways starts at $185,000; financing is available for as low as $942 per month. For additional information visit www.bowlusroadchief.com.

At first glance, Kate Cook’s artwork might seem like a paradox—a seamless blend of classic oil painting techniques with the high-octane world of automotive enamels. Her signature approach, which she calls "Artemotiv," merges the meticulous craftsmanship of fine art with the raw energy of hot rods and muscle cars. But spend a few minutes with Cook, and the paradox resolves itself into something more profound: an artist who has not only found her lane but paved it herself.
