If you aren’t following Teddy on YouTube it is likely you have never heard of the young watch entrepreneur whose videos on watches and the watch industry have racked up over 13 million views and nearly 100,000 subscribers.

Teddy’s channel covers trends, history, new, watch reviews, and great interviews with leaders in the watch industry. Like many YouTuber’s Teddy has launched his own product line at TeddyBaldassarre.com which includes watch cases, tools, and a great collection of straps. The Straps by Teddy Baldassarre that caught my attention were the Rally Strap line which has that classic 60s look and comes in a number of colors, sizes, and styles.

I reached out to Teddy to tell him how much I liked the straps and he offered to send me a few to check out. Since I was going to order them anyway, I asked that they send me a few of their basic leather rally straps as a replacement for the original strap on my TSOVET JPT-NT42.

The JPT-NT42 is one of my favorite daily watches to wear and has been around the world with me twice, the classic field watch style lends itself well to the rally strap style and I was excited to give it a refresh. The straps arrived within a few days and because they have the no-tool spring bars, I didn’t even need to get out any tools to swap out straps.

At just $20 each, I wasn’t expecting much in the way of quality but I was pleasantly surprised and could tell that they were produced by someone who was a watch enthusiast. I picked a classic red with a natural contrast stitch and blue with an orange contrast stitch for the obvious nod to Gulf Racing. The straps are well made, with a very nice finish, clean edges, and most importantly long enough to fit around my larger-than-average wrist.

A new strap can be a great way to refresh and older and give it a whole new look and TeddyBaldassarre.com has more than rally straps, including exotic leathers, NATO Straps, and bracelets for all popular watch sizes.
