LA Fashion Week (LAFW) will kick off on Friday, March 22, 2019, at the Petersen Automotive Museum with runway presentations and the latest edition of ‘Cars & Fashion’ from world-renowned designer, Naeem Khan, to start off the season of shows.

“LA’s experiencing a creative renaissance in the Design & Art world and were just thrilled to have The Petersen Automotive Museum & these innovative Fashion Designers a part of that energy,” said Arthur Chipman – Executive Producer.

One of the top high fashion designers in the world, marrying the rich traditions and materials of his roots, Naeem Khan has mastered evening & cocktail glamour. His silhouettes are highly detailed, boldly embellished and beautifully constructed whether in the ballroom or on the red carpet. Michelle Obama, Oprah, Duchess Kate Middleton, Emily Blunt, Aishwarya Rai, Queen Noor of Jordan and Kerry Washington are some of the many fashion icons who shined in his dresses.

With each season, LAFW is building a stronger and wider network of established brands, partnerships, and sponsors aimed at increasing the profile of West Coast Fashion. In addition to the opening night designers, this season has a talented line up of fashion labels, influential guests, and over 2.5 billion digital impressions per season. Los Angeles Fashion Week is a high-caliber fashion platform. Proclaimed by Mayor Eric Garcetti & California State Senator Ben Allen as the Official Fashion Week for the City of Los Angeles, and has been recognized by former First Lady Michelle Obama for its innovative programs supporting cultural diversity in the United States.

LA Fashion week is made possible with the iconic Petersen Automotive Museum – a historical landmark and one of the greatest exhibit spaces in LA located in the heart of the city. The official venue of LA Fashion Week, Petersen is one of the world’s largest automotive museums awarded for its architecture.

“The Petersen Automotive Museum is proud to partner with LAFW to host another successful runway show,” said Petersen Executive Director Terry L. Karges. “The bold designs featured in fashion are a beautiful complement to the cars we have on display, and we’re excited to blend the two worlds together again.”
