I met Emelia the first time back in 2017 at the Michelin Pilot Experience, she had just launched her YouTube channel and I am even in one of her first videos as we both ripped around the California desert in Ferraris and Audi supercars. While her channel was just getting started it has already attracted over 35,000 subscribers, and now just over 20-months later she has over 235,000 subscribers and has become a major personality in the automotive YouTube community with some videos garnering more than 10 million views.
If you head over to her channel today you'll see she has set up shop at RS Speed Design in Glendale, California where she is still working on her collection of project cars. Including an S13, S14, Subaru, and she recently picked up an RX7 that will be making an appearance on the channel soon. Also, look for her popping up on other popular YouTuber channels, she has done collaborations with friends like Alex Choi, Rob Ferretti, David Patterson, and more.
I recently ran into Emelia when we were both up at Thunderhill Raceway in Northern California to drive the new Hyundai Veloster N. I made another appearance in her video and even shot the photo for her thumbnail. I thought it made for a good excuse for an update since our last photoshoot and interview (check that out here) was in February of 2017.
The popularity of her YouTube channel has taken her around the world on all kinds of automotive adventures and she and her small team take you along like you are part of the family. Be sure to head over to her channel and subscribe for regular uploads from drifting at Willowsprings to road-tripping across Europe Emelia always has something exciting happening on her channel.
