Southern
California’s
Galpin Motors, home to some of the world’s
leading automotive brands and the world famous Galpin Auto Sports (GAS), hosted
its sixth annual Galpin Car Show last Sunday, Oct. 8, which was a virtual
street fair and its biggest show yet. The Galpin Car Show took over Roscoe
Blvd. as thousands of people including Jay Leno came out to see almost 1,000
unique and custom show cars on display across the entire Galpin campus,
creating six car shows in one.

Millions
of dollars’ worth of luxury and exotic vehicles, including Ferraris, Aston
Martins, Lamborghinis, Porsches and more were on display at Galpin Premier
where YouTube sensation Salomondrin also hosted an autograph
signing. Galpin Mazda hosted the White Rabbit Food Truck, as well as a variety
of Japanese import cars including custom Miatas, Subarus and Toyotas. Galpin
Volkswagen was home to a diverse collection of classic bugs, buses and custom
microbuses.
GAS
featured many custom and vintage vehicles, including its own Ed “Big Daddy”
Roth collection, famed Metallica guitarist James Hetfield’s Aquarius and the
Moonliner which raced at Bonneville Salt Flats, among others. The Petersen
Museum displayed the first Tucker 48, which was owned by Preston Tucker
himself, the 1932 Ford Phaeton from Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” and Elton
John’s Delahaye in the GAS showroom as well. Three Ford GTs were featured
throughout the show.
Galpin
Ford featured classic Fords and Shelby’s, including three Ford GT’s, as well as
tons of fun activities for kids, such as a Ferris wheel, trampoline jump,
carnival games and more. The Ford used car lot was home to local car clubs
including the Valley Mustang Club and Edsel Owners Club. Additionally, it
featured music from AMP Radio and singer Chiquis Rivera signed autographs and
met with fans. Jay Leno also stopped by the show to peruse the impressive
displays and take pictures with fans.
In
addition to vehicles and family fun, Galpin also hosted various activities at
the show which benefitted the San Fernando Valley Rescue
Mission
. The
dealership raised more than $7,000 at the event, all of which will be donated
to the organization.

“The
sixth annual Galpin Car Show was a huge success and we are so proud of how the
show has grown over the years,” said Beau Boeckmann, President of Galpin
Motors. “Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated with us. From all of
our hardworking Galpin employees, to our friends who came out and displayed
their cars, we couldn’t have turned our dream of creating six car shows in one
into a reality without you. We already can’t wait for next year’s show!”
