The Art of Motoring exhibition, Europe's largest and most
prestigious display of motoring and motorsport art will return to England's capital city in October, as part of The Royal Automobile Club's London Motor
Week, celebrating motoring past, present, and future.
First staged in 2015, the success of the event has seen it grow in
stature and ambition. This year, it has switched to the Mall Galleries,
directly opposite the War Rooms, and takes place from 31 October to 5 November.
"It was always my ambition to mount the exhibition
here," explains organizer Andrew Marriott. "The gallery owners are
hugely enthusiastic and supportive and the extra space means we can accommodate
more artists and give them a larger display area. It's such a popular spot, literally
30 seconds from the bustle of Trafalgar Square."
Admission to The Art of Motoring exhibition is free of charge and
will incorporate a wide stylistic variety of work from some of the world's most
acclaimed motoring artists and sculptors. These include Geoff Bolam, John
Ketchall, Neil Collins, Yahn Janou, Stanley Rose, Richard Wheatland, Jonathan
Carter, Andrew Hill and Peter Hearsey.
