Last week I had the chance to visit the set of Top Gear America, the latest version of the iconic British motoring show and the second attempt at bringing the show to the USA. This time on BBC America, unlike the previous History Channel version, Top Gear America sticks closer to the format of the original British program.
I was invited out to attend a taping, while I can’t reveal a whole lot, I can tell you that it is has a lot of the elements that made the original Top Gear such a hit, the comradery between the hosts is excellent and this version has all the adventure, racing, and fun that we come to expect from Top Gear they even have their own Stig!
