Ehang, a Guangzhou, China-based company, has unveiled a single passenger drone CES 2016 in Las Vegas called the 184. About the size of a Fiat 500 the electric passenger carrying quadcopter is pretty close to that flying car we were all promised.

Like the toy drones the 184 is controlled by an easy to use app and the software does the bulk of the actual flying.  The company claims that a “fail safe system” will immediately land you safely on the ground, even if any of the components malfunction.

The 184 carry a single person weighing up to 260 pounds with a max speed of 62mph,  it can climb to an altitude of 11,000 feet, with a flight time of 23 minutes.  According to Engadget the 184 will be for sale soon and cost over $200,000.
