Ford Motor Company is excited to announce the auction of a one-of-a-kind 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R for the 2015 Cattle Baron’s Ball auction on Saturday, Sept. 26.
This special edition Mustang Shelby GT350R will be one-of-a-kind created for the event featuring an Oxford white exterior with unique blue stripe and color design.
The unique blue stripe matches the accent stitching on the interior, including door panels, seats, center console, instrument panel and steering wheel. The Mustang features carbon fiber exterior accents and is the first Shelby GT350R with a Ford Performance Parts rear seat kit. It will also include Cattle Baron’s Ball ‘one-of-one’ sill plates and instrument panel badging.
“The goal in customizing this Shelby is to create a vehicle that will attract the highest bids from car collectors and ultimately the most money to support American Cancer Society research programs and services for cancer survivors and their loved ones,” said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford Motor Company group vice president, Global Purchasing and Honorary Chair of the Cattle Baron’s Ball.
Since 2003, the American Cancer Society Cattle Baron’s Ball has enjoyed record-breaking success and is recognized as one of the most distinctive charitable events in Metro Detroit. Guests of Cattle Baron’s Ball enjoy a unique Western-themed event complete with live entertainment, Texas-style cuisine provided by Detroit’s finest eateries, dancing, a high-end live and silent auction, and other special attractions. This year’s event will feature a performance by country duo The Swon Brothers.
The car will be auctioned during the live auction portion of the evening on Sept. 26. For those unable to attend the event in-person, call-in bids will be accepted. For more information about bidding via phone for the live auction, please call Christine Kenny at 248.663.3414.
