CRUZ by Vintage Electric™

California based Vintage Electric™ wheeled onto the Electric Bike scene in August of 2013 with the debut of their flagship model the E-Tracker. The bike gained widespread attention as the “E-Flyer”, a specialized E-Tracker created by Vintage Electric for car manufacturer Icon 4×4. Setting out to disrupt the market with a “planned obsolescence is bull-shit” attitude, Vintage Electric has captured a global audience by bringing to their customers high-performance bikes with hardy functionality and classic design. The “next-generation” or “throw-away” mentality of so many products today has no place at Vintage Electric, these bikes are built to stand-the test of time – like the kind of barn-find restoration pieces that gear-heads dream about discovering.

Their dream-child and inception model the E-Tracker pulls its inspiration from the outlawed board-track motorcycles of the early 1900’s and stuns with the charm of this by-gone era. Vintage Electric’s newest model the CRUZ, is equally nostalgic. A Classic California beach cruiser meets design elements reminiscent of the American Art Deco movement.

Offering the same best-in-class performance as the E-Tracker, the CRUZ leads the industry with a top-speed of 36 mph in race-mode. Regenerative breaking coupled with Shimano Alfine hydraulic disk brakes provides riders stop-on-a-dime control. In the same fashion as its counterpart, the CRUZ’s top-caliber components include a sandcast aluminum battery box, powerful LED lighting, Phil-Wood front hub, and a Brooks England Ltd leather saddle and grips. A powerful 52-volt battery provides the CRUZ with 30 miles of ride capability and requires minimal charge time (just two hours to fully re-charge). The stained alder wood frame inlay and cast pewter name badge sings the final note for this model’s signature look, which starts for purchase at a tenable $4,995.

As did the E-Tracker, Vintage Electric’s CRUZ continues the narration of a new chapter in electric transportation – one in which stellar design and performance are not just achievable, but the norm.
